Sra. Marta presented update on the School Improvement Plan. The school had a Data Day this fall. On this day each teacher met with Melissa Ness to analyze their students' test data. Interventions were developed for individuals and classrooms that were not proficient in particular areas.

Security doors are not yet working, but should be soon. Once they are functional, all parents will need to ring the doorbell when they come to school. Luis, the Outreach Worker, will monitor the doorbell to let visitors into the building.

Ken Friel, math interventionist, will have his last day at RDLS for this school year on Feb. 4th. He has been selected for a Fulbright Distinguished Award in Teaching and will be living and working in Colombia for the rest of the school year. We are looking forward to our students benefiting from all the new things he learns while he is away. A long term sub has not yet been found.

All district PreK registration will be Jan. 11th from 4:30-6:30 at the Central Education Building, which is located across the parking lot from Richfield High School. This year the district will be using a lottery system for its preschool program, so be sure to get your applications in by Jan. 24th to be in the lottery. Preference goes to Richfield residents and families with financial need.

RDLS Kindergarten Enrollment night will be held Jan. 16 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. PreK enrollment packets will be accepted at this meeting to be submitted to the districtwide lottery.

Next meeting: January 23, 2018 at 6 p.m.
