Post date: Dec 21, 2016 9:48:04 PM

Guest Speaker - Superintendent Steve Unowsky - Provided a lot of information about our district's demographic changes over the last 10 years and what specific actions are being taken to improve acheivement for all Richfield students. Also presented data regarding RDLS students' performance at RMS. Data indicates RDLS grads consistently score higher in both reading and math proficiency than the RMS average.

Playground Update - We did not receive the grant we applied for from Henneping County. Despite receiving very positive feedback on our application, he grant in our district was awarded to a project to upgrade the Hyland Park Ski Jump. Next steps to be determined, but may include funding resulting from the disrict's facility study and applying for other grants. This year's fund raising efforts will continue to be directed to the playground account. New projects will be identified for next year.

Next Family Fun Night will be January 20th and will be Minute to Win It themed with a service project aspect.

Kindergarten round up will be on Jan. 17th. PTSO will look into providing bilingual books for attendees again this year. Last year's books were funded by RBCU.
