Call to Order – Steve Schneeberger

Read-a-thon Update

· Current collection of weekly reading slips shows that our participation numbers are down.

· Possibly - people are waiting to turn in slips

· Sra. Marta will make an announcement to obtain some excitement between the classes.

501c3 and Grants

· This is a status that would make us Non Profit and allow us to write for grants or obtain monies/donations from local businesses.

· Betsey Lindow is working with professionals to see how we can obtain this status, costs, as well as other benefits.

· There is a cost involved and paperwork is quite significant.

Family Fun Night 3/8

· Friday March 8^th – Movie Night with meal; popcorn, candy, soda and water

· Suggestions for movies are being taken – Lorax, etc.

Multicultural Festival

· Help in planning and organizing is needed. Please contact Hope

· Scaling back activities so it is more enjoyable for all families – eliminating games;

· Will have performers – Sudanese Dancers; Aztec Dancers

· Will have different food stations

· 12 Passport Stations – expanded from 6 stations to 12 stations

· Cultural Activities – henna tattoos, names in Arabic

Mother’s Day Celebration

· Friday May 10^th Family Night will include a Dance Night for the Moms. Suggestions include:

· DJ night

· Spa Treatment; Eye Treatment; Make Up

· Manni / Pedis

· Taco Truck other food options

· Photo Booth

· Bachmann’s fundraising event for flowers/plants

Old Business

· Box Tops and Labels – where are we at with that?

· Another Culver’s Night?

· Communication to other parents to join and volunteer for events; Room parent program helping to spread the word.
