PTSO Meeting November, 19, 2013


1.  Introduction of new board members: Teacher rep: Tania Connolly, Co-president: Myriam Castro, Student council rep- Alicia Kemmer


2.  Treasurer report:  

Budget presented

Book Fair: $3300 in books (0ver $5000 in sales Scholastic and Usborne)- Biggest book fair in RDLS history

Chip Shoppe- $19,000 is total sales (may be more in online sales yet), final numbers after pickup on Dec. 10- We are looking at $8-11,000 dollars raised- This is largest single fundraiser in RDLS history

Movie Night: $638 raised after expenses

Back to school 5K- $300


3.  PTSO committee for teachers (next year possibility)


4.  Volunteer coordinator report:  

FFN- We were low on volunteers- had some back out, some not show

Need 4 volunteers for Barnes & Noble Book Fair- Nov. 22

Chip Shoppe pick up Dec. 10th- volunteers set

FFN January- will know numbers needed once we decide event- looking at Winter Carnival


5.  Fundraiser report:

Lawn bags:  possibly in spring


7.  New business:

Thank you note from teachers passed around

4th grade student reps discussed Food Drive going on this week

Betsy- Winter Carnival- looking at using a rental company that will deliver, setup and cleanup a carnival for us- looking at contacting Richfield Bloomington Credit Union to cover expenses

Will need to start looking for a treasurer and co-president for next school year
